Day One (Perth to Albany)
Heading south through Jarrah Forests and Sheep farming country we arrive in the stunning Stirling Ranges for lunch before we stop at The Porongurups to climb up Castle Rock and enjoy the spectacular views! We then make our way south to Albany and stop at Middleton Beach and Mt Clarence for sunset. Following we are on for an evening at one of the bars or cafes and head to our accommodation at Albany Backpackers.
Day Two (Albany to Pemberton)
Today we make our way to the natural wonders of The Gap, Natural Bridge and Blowholes and head west to William Bay National Park where you can go for a swim at Greens Pool and explore Elephant Rocks. Then we take the short drive to the Valley of the Giants and Ancient Empire. Here we take the stunning walk through the Tree Top boardwalk 40m above the forest floor and through the canopy of the Red Tingle Trees. Following we enjoy lunch before we head to the historic logging town of Pemberton and the Gloucester Tree. This original fire lookout tree is 62m high and yours to climb…if you dare. Then on to our accommodation at Pemberton Forest Stay for a beautiful night surrounded by huge Karri trees.
Day Three (Pemberton to Perth)
Today we visit Cape Leeuwin and take a tour to the top of Australia’s tallest mainland lighthouse to see where the Indian and Southern Oceans meet. Next we head to the Margaret River region and everything that makes it famous. First stop is a spectacular adventure cave, one of more than 300 cave formations in the region. Next is a winery to try some of Margaret Rivers’s world renowned wines before we head on to Prevelly Beach and Surfers Point. Then we continue up the road and stop at the Margaret River Chocolate Company. Our final stop is the longest jetty in the Southern hemisphere, the Busselton Jetty before we arrive back in Perth at approximately 7.30pm.
